Message All D2S bulbs were meant for projectors designed for HID so hence it would not require painted tips to stop glare. D2R bulbs were meant to be for reflector HID systems and have coatings to prevent glare from going certain directions.

300zx projectors were not designed with D2S bulb in mind even when modified with a 9006 base. It's like having a 9005 in 9006 housing, more glare. Except it's much worse with a rebased D2S bulb.
